Application Procedures:

Pulaski County Special School District has converted to a random selection through the computer to place their students in magnet schools, commencing with the 2009-2010 school application period. This year, the initial application period will begin on Monday, January 26, 2009 and continue through Friday, February 6, 2009. All applications during this initial registration period have to be in the Pulaski County Special School District on or before February 6, 2009 in order to be considered for the random selection which will take place shortly after that date. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THE CUT-OFF DATE! Go to the Pulaski County Special School District's Equity and Pupil Services and complete an application during this time period.

Or . . .

Contact the Magnet Review Committee Office (501.758.0156) to have an application mailed to your home or office.

Return the application to the Pulaski County Special School District's Equity and Pupil Services Office to arrive by the deadline.

The names of the students and school choices from all applications received are placed in the computer after this initial application period. The computer will match students who have applied with seats available for placement. The seats are filled through this process, and students who are not selected for a seat will be numerically placed on a waiting list through the computer in the same manner.

The Pulaski County Special School District will notify you by letter of your placement in early March, 2009.

After receiving your placement notification, go to the Little Rock School District's Student Assignment Office and complete a Pupil Information Form.

Go to your child's assigned magnet school during the summer registration period (in early August) and complete the necessary steps for enrollment.
